Christmas (2014) - Milwaukee/Chicago

Late post as Christmas is already a half month ago, but I wanted to share some photos of Milwaukee and Chicago during the holidays.

Chicago:

If you are in Chicago during Christmas, be sure to check out the decorations along Michigan street and visit Millennium Park for ice-skating in the middle of downtown.

If you are hungry after all the walking/activities, there are plenty of good restaurants around the area (I will have a separate blog on Chicago and Chicago dinning in the near future). My newly discovered breakfast place nearby is "Pittsfield Cafe" - very cute. You can also check out The Gage for a nice sit-down lunch or Sweetwater for a quick bite and watching sports.

Must do if you have time: Visit Christkindlmarket downtown Chicago (Daley Plaza in the Loop - Dearborn St).

This is a German tradition; it's an outdoor market in the Chicago Loop open for a few weeks before/around Christmas. There are unique and authentic gift shops, German food and drinks, as well as diverse holiday entertainment. Admission is FREE! Check out some of the photos:

Must have: "Hot Spiced Wine"

Milwaukee:
Cathedral square/ Downtown

The Pfister

A little Merry Christmas from home :)
